Explode The Code Book 1 introduces students to the sounds of short vowels (beginning with sort a, then short i, short u, short e, and short o). Through a variety of pen-to-paper exercises, students will get to practice blending sounds to read and write CVC (consonant/vowel/consonant pattern) words.
